Edward Williams, Physician Assistant, who I call the “Malcolm X of Health” has written the forward to my book. I met Eddie via IG in 2018. He happened across one of my posts where I discussed the ancestors and he DM’d me (felt more like an interrogation lol) about my health and wellness endeavors. After a subsequent hour long conversation, we realized that the ancestors had reunited as a soul tribe in the fight against western modern medicine. He became my Fasting Mentor, friend, and business partner when we created The Fast Life 28 Day Challenge, TFL28.com.

He has so graciously written the forward to my book and I wanted to share it with you all. It brought me to tears. To be validated by one of the greatest activists in our time has both humbled and empowered me. Little ole me, with less than 4k followers on IG compared to his 18k, and 14k on IG and FB subsequently and with a thriving business, has chosen me to be apart of his team and partner in the fight to reclaim our birthright of being healthy happy and whole!

Foreword

“As a practicing Physician Assistant in the trenches daily with patients, I have seen the debilitating effects of the Standard American Diet and Western lifestyle. I’ve seen up close and personal the harmful manifestations of a constant infusion of processed foods; diabetes, which can lead to blindness, gangrene, and amputations. Kidney failure, dialysis, heart attacks, and strokes. Unfortunately, the descendants of the enslaved Africans who suffered and overcame the greatest atrocities we’ve ever seen are now being ravaged by processed foods and a health care system that values profit over health. Make no mistake, in most cases, these are man-made conditions created by man-made foods that turn lucrative with man-made medications. Unfortunately, because of our community’s current health status and trajectory, things look to only be getting worse. Although this sounds bleak and outright depressing, there are bright and shining glimmers of hope, and you’re holding one of them in your hands.

Imagine a solution so practical, powerful, natural, intuitive, effective, and FREE that can radically improve the health conditions of our community overnight. That solution is FASTING, and you’re about to learn how to implement it into your life from one of the most competent and battle-tested people around who has been through the transition herself and practices what she preaches.

I’ve had the honor and pleasure of being great friends with Kathleen and working alongside her in a program that we created together called “The Fast Life 28-Day Challenge”. Inside this program, we have helped hundreds of people improve their health, lose weight, normalize blood pressure, reverse diabetes, resolve PCOS, and get off medication. However, before Kathleen became impactful in the lives of others, she embodied and made the transition for herself. 

In 2018, I approached Kathleen about doing a 24-hour fast with me in an upcoming online event called the FUBU 24-hour community Fast. She had never done a 24 hour fast before and was rightfully concerned. The goal of the FUBU fast was to mobilize the community to engage in thoughtful fasting while Kathleen and I delivered educational and empowering information about healthy living. I made a video about fasting during that time, and apparently, I said something that stuck with Kathleen, “Anything You Can’t Fast From, you are a slave to.” Yeah, it hits a little different, but it’s true. Think about not being able to stop doing something that you know is killing you. Who is in charge? Who is the master and who is the slave? And who wants to be a slave to burgers, fries, pizza, or food in general? Apparently not Kathleen. Kathleen did the 24-Hour fast, and the rest is history.

Fasting has always been a part of our traditional African culture. However, western society tells us to eat six times a day without any unbiased proof for its recommendations. As if more food is what we need. Meanwhile, our community keeps getting sicker and sicker as the food worsens, while dialysis clinics continually pop up. On the other hand, our Ancestors say FASTING is everything, with thousands of years of proof. Whom do you believe?

What you are holding in your hand is potentially one of the most powerful, well-written, and organized solutions for many of the problems that ails our community. Not only that, but it’s also being delivered to you by one of the brightest stars from our community who is more than capable of liberating many from their shackles of ill health. Since that 24- hour fast in 2018, Kathleen has gone on to fast for over 1,000 days and thousands of hours while documenting the whole experience. Until that point, I’ve never seen anything like it. Kathleen not only practiced what she preached, but she truly believed in the power of fasting as a practical solution for radical black health improvement.   1. I am so proud of you Kathleen. And I would like to thank you and Edward for allowing me to ride on this journey with Y’all. I believe I was apart of the first 28 day challenge back in January 2019. I have had ups and downs, but ultimately a believer for life. Thank you and congratulations 🎊
